Castlewood Canyon
Location:
Located about 45 miles north of Colorado Springs and east of
Castle rock, this state park offers routes for the beginner and
experienced climber.
Description:
With a conglomerate sandstone and quartz type of rock, You will find routes ranging in difficulty from 5.4 to 5.12. The routes are generally short but there is the opportunity to climb year around, except for ice climbing. Great bouldering is also available. Approach time is 10-20 minutes.
